The design for Ryota Yokozeki’s Inlay chair comes from a desire to achieve new and challenging forms in wood while still showing respect for the material. Similar to an elegant letter form, the chair has a curving plywood backrest that merges seamlessly with the solid wood arms and frame. 

Inlayチェアは「心地よい行為をそのままトレースする」をコンセプトに、構成はシンプルで明快に、それを”木”ならではの形で表現。背もたれになるプライウッド-アーム・脚となる無垢材のジョイントを一筆書きしたような美しい線で仕上げた、まさに木の素材そのものをデザインに取り込んだ一脚。ゆったりと背中を預けることができて、且つ幅のある肘掛けを持ちながらインテリア空間で軽やかな存在感となるチェアに仕立てました。
